Golden tip for those who are tired of the Dutch winter and would like to imagine themselves in Portugal for a while: in the Rotterdam Markthal and the Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam you will find Adega Food & Wine. At Adega you will find the largest selection of delicacies from Portugal. Wines, cheeses, sausages, but also the famous Pastel de Nata is available at Adega.
That you really feel like you are in Portugal at Adega is no coincidence. The owners, a Dutch-Portuguese couple, know the country like no other. I got to know them during the trade trip through the Terras Altes, which I took part in in June 2023. Since then, I regularly consult with them about how Portuguese products can be brought even better to the Dutch market. Although they are already succeeding very well in this, with their two shops.
