Every spring, the Sagal Expo takes place in Lisbon. In 2023, I was there together with Alentejo Wines, the Dutch connoisseur and importer of fine Portuguese wines.
If you visit this exhibition by invitation, you have to work hard; from early morning to evening you are tasting and meeting producers. Very rewarding, but very intensive!
All the beauty under the Portuguese sun
The Sagal Expo Lisbon (subtitled ‘Sabores de Portugal’) aims to promote Portuguese companies and highlight Portuguese brands and products. The exhibitors are exclusively Portuguese producers of food, beverage and some companies in the complementary services sector. If you are a fan of Portugal, then this is the place to be. It goes without saying that a significant part of the exhibition floor is reserved for wine producers. This makes it one of the best fairs to get a good idea of what Portugal has to offer as a wine country in a short time.
In 2024, the Sagal Expo will take place in early April. Needless to say, I have already booked my tickets!
